Creating your Lede

A good lede is what makes a reader want to read the story. The lede is supposed to grab the readers attention right in the beginning. Generally, the first paragraph of your story should begin with the central idea or information that your story is trying to convey. This will help set the audience up with an expectation of what information will follow. Do not overwhelm your audience with to many facts. Give them the enough so they have an understanding of the story that is going to unfold. If they understand what the story is going to be about they can really grab the juicy, interesting parts of the story.
